Food Forest Garden Tours

Please note that the food forest is a private property and we would ask all visitors to be considerate of the owners time and space.  Although Robyn & Robert are not available all the time, we are fortunate that they are happy to have people visit their property when arranged in advance.  All bookings are to be made through the South Coast Environment Centre.

A guided tour with Robyn/Robert Guyton through their 25 year old forest garden, tours usually run for 1 ½ hours.  Children are welcome but must stay with caregivers at all times while on the property.  Tour dates are subject to host availability and extreme weather.  Please wear sturdy shoes and warm clothes and bring a coat in case of rain.  The cost is $10 per adult ($5 for children).  There is a minimum charge of $50 per tour.

Food Forest Workshops (4hrs)

What is covered: The history of food forests, site analysis, zones, layers, guilds, soil health and structure, the range of edible and useful plants you can grow in a cool/temperate food forest.  A tour of a 25 year old food forest and questions and follow up discussion dependent on participants interest.  This is only a one day course but we try to pack it full of information and have booklets and information available to purchase as extra resources.  This workshop should enable the participants to have enough information to start their own food forest.

Please contact us if you are interested in doing a workshop, we can set dates to suit participants.
