Offered throughout the year in a range of locations covering a wide range of sustainable living topics, such as grafting, gardening, cobb oven building, making your own natural cosmetics.


Held in Spring (usually October) in Invercargill, this event showcases a range of sustainable living products and has guest speakers on a range of topics.

Earthcraft Day

Held in Winter (usually July), usually in Riverton but we are open to moving this to elsewhere in Southland. This event showcases the variety of natural material related crafts such as spinning, weaving and felting. Demonstrations and some goods for sale.

Heritage Harvest Festival

Held in Autumn (usually late March) in Riverton, this annual festival brings together the local community and visitors from far and wide to celebrate the year’s harvest. A huge range of practical workshops are offered and displays which showcase the centre’s projects. Local produce is also available for purchase, and a harvest café is set up for the weekend.
