Heritage Harvest Festival

The Inaugural Heritage Harvest Festival was a great success in 2009 so it is now an annual event.Festival Photos from 2009

Saturday/Sunday March 27th & 28th 2010 Dozens of events and activities over the weekend in 7 venues in Riverton!

An educational weekend of displays, workshops and family fun all themed on heritage fruit and veges, how to choose them, grow them, harvest them and preserve them. Workshops on seed saving, cider making, preserving fruit, propagating berries, what to plant in Autumn etc.

Workshops 9.30 -5.00 Flecks Hall on Saturday and Sunday Pre registration essential to guarantee a place! $7.50 per workshop or 4 for $25. (Early Bird Special $6 each or 4 workshops for $20 (last day for special price Wednesday 24th))

Environment Centre open for registrations from 8.30am Saturday and Sunday mornings- most courses should still have space but some will be booked out! Emailing or phoning to book workshops recommended. Full list of workshops

Pot luck Traditional Heritage Feast Saturday night from 7pm at Flecks Hall $5 adult, accompanied children free. more information about the feast!

Mrs Clarks Cafe has a special Harvest theme menu both days.

Harvest theme window displays have a wander through the main street and check out the window displays in SPG (Stationary. Presents and Gifts), Cosy Books (second hand book shop), Riverton Pharmacy and more.

Riverton Environment Centre is open both days- diplays, information, organic food, eco products.

The Globe Hotel has an open mic night on the Firday night before the Festival ( pizzas and backpacker also)
